- “My appeal today – a public holiday – is for each and every one of us to do our part and avoid as much social contact as possible. Look after your loved ones, phone them, Skype them… but avoid crowds.” – Minister of Health Chris Fearne
- Maltese authorities have decided to stop all passenger flights to Malta from Saturday, 21 March 2020. This ban does not apply to cargo, humanitarian, and repatriation flights. Malta International Airport has advised passengers who already booked flights to Malta to contact their airlines for more information.
- On Tuesday evening, the Superintendent of Public Health announced that all schools in Malta would remain closed until further notice. In a separate announcement, the authorities also ordered the closure of places of entertainment, including bars, restaurants, and cinemas. This closure will not affect food delivery and takeaway services.
- The number of Covid-19 cases in Malta has increased to 48. During a press conference, the health authorities reported that another ten individuals have been confirmed to be affected by the virus, including a 70-year-old Maltese man.
- “The Medical Association of Malta said that around 110 doctors are currently under quarantine. The doctors had to self-isolate after travelling abroad recently or due to “medical reasons”.
- The Government has launched a new hotline to support gaming companies in Malta. Companies can call on +356 25 469 111 or send an email to gaming.assist@gov.mt to get updates about how Covid-19 could affect their operations.

- Dès le samedi 21 mars 2020, les autorités maltaises ont décidé de suspendre tous les vols commerciaux à destination de Malte. Cette interdiction ne s’applique pas aux vols de marchandises, humanitaires et de rapatriement. L’aéroport international de Malte a conseillé aux passagers qui ont déjà réservé leurs vols à destination de Malte de prendre contact avec leur compagnie aérienne pour avoir plus d’informations.
- Mardi dernier, le surintendant de la santé publique a annoncé que toutes les écoles de Malte sont fermées jusqu’à nouvel ordre. Dans une autre annonce, les autorités ont ordonné la fermeture des lieux de divertissement, comme les bars, les restaurants et les cinémas. Cette fermeture n’affecte pas la livraison de nourriture et les services à emporter.
- Le nombre de cas de Covid-19 à Malte est passé à 48. Pendant une conférence de presse, les autorités sanitaires ont signalé que dix autres personnes ont été testées positives au virus, y compris un homme maltais de 70 ans.

- Die maltesischen Behörden haben beschlossen, ab dem 21. März 2020 den gesamten Passagierflugverkehr nach Malta einzustellen. Fracht-, Hilfs- und Rückführungsflüge sind von diesem Verbot nicht betroffen. Der Malta International Airport rät Passagieren, die bereits Flüge nach Malta gebucht haben, für weitere Informationen ihre Airlines zu kontaktieren.

- Las autoridades de Malta han decidido cancelar todos los vuelos con destino a Malta desde el sábado 21 de marzo de 2020. Esta medida no afectará a vuelos destinados a transportar mercancías, ayuda humanitaria y repatriación. El aeropuerto internacional de Malta ha notificado a los pasajeros que ya disponían de vuelos con este destino para que puedan contactar a sus aerolíneas para obtener más información al respecto.
- Durante la tarde del martes, el Superintendente de Sanidad Pública anunció que todos los colegios de Malta permanecerán cerrados hasta nuevo aviso.
